What is HeliPort ?
HeliPort is a freeware program containing several applications for R/C helicopters. It contains tools and data modules to execute calculations and measurements, make logs or simply look up some data. Included are several calculators and loggers, even a real-time GPS logger, an audio tachometer, a lot of data and much more.
Is it something new ?
The development started in february 2010. The actual release number 0.17, dated april 2010, is the first complete version. It will be released as the final version 1.00 as soon as it has proven to be free of any bugs, which we hope it already is. But the development won't stop there. Please email us if you would encounter any problem or have any suggestions to improve HeliPort.
On what hardware can I use it ?
HeliPort is available for two platforms:
1) MS-Windows
2) MS-Windows Mobile 6.x
No mobile phone is needed to use the MS-Windows version.
Why is it free ?
I am a R/C hobbyist myself with a love for helis, and like programming. I don't make money flying my helis, so I also don't feel the need to make money by programming. There are no catches: no writing to the registry, no spyware, no nag screens, no hidden internet connections or communications, it really is "what-you-see-is-what-you-get". Nothing more and nothing less. Enjoy it or leave it.
